Prior to joining Radisys, Prasad worked at AT&T CTO Labs for 11+ years in several technical leadership and management roles, focusing on 5G/4G/3G Wireless Standards/Core/RAN/Transport Networking Platforms, Solutions Architecture, Systems Design, Advanced Technology Operations and Support, Key Network Performance Metrics, Commercial/Regulatory Mobility Services Deployment and leading Innovation. He has extensively worked on RFI/RFPs for new vendor selection associated with advanced mobility network functions, managed multiple established and new vendors in the telco/IT industry developing products/solutions in the wireless/optical domains. Before moving to AT&T, Prasad spent 15 years at Ericsson in Research and Development of Wireless Networking Products and Optical Systems. He has led several new product development initiatives from conception to commercialization and deployment in global service provider networks. He has extensively worked with industry leading research institutes and academia in the areas of broadband access networks, published several papers in reputed International conferences, journals and has 80+ granted U.S. Patents with several pending. Prasad is a Senior Member of IEEE and has participated as an invited member/reviewer in several technical review committees for IEEE Communications Magazine, more than a dozen flagship conferences, and journals in broadband access networking technologies. His key interests are in advanced wireless/optical broadband access evolution, containerization of network functions in RAN, Transport and Core, end-to-end mobility network infrastructure solutions, fixed-mobile convergence, data analytics and new services introduction.
