Description

Evaluate this session
The way networks are being utilized is evolving, and the way we process and collect information is developing with the utilization of AI, Machine learning, and sensor technologies. The number of connected devices will expand exponentially requiring the physical layer to adapt.

Networks are built to last for multiple decades ensuring networks are capable of handling this explosion in new data which will be critical to the adoption and implementation of the technology. These things must be considered in the investments made today to ensure networks can scale to meet future demand.

This session will discuss AI, 25G, 50G and beyond, connected device proliferation into the markets, and how these trends will impact the physical layer. Plays to designing networks with spare capacity, WDM strategies, network flexibility for future demand points, mobile edge compute, latency, quality of service, bandwidth, networks built to last many decades and to target TCO savings.

Learnings include:

1. Considerations of network demands around trending topics like 25G and AI.
2. How to prepare now for future network demands.
3. How to prepare your network for latency, quality of service, and bandwidth—building networks to last many decades and target TCO savings.
