Chris Mitchell is a seasoned wireless engineering leader with over two decades of experience AT&T’s Radio Access Network (RAN) Teams. Based in Nashville, Chris is married to his beautiful wife Betsy and is the proud father of two daughters—Reece, a freshman at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and Scarlett, a high school junior. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time traveling with his family, playing golf, and staying fit and active outdoors.

Chris graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Wireless Engineering as part of the first graduating class in the country to obtain a BWE. His career reflects a deep commitment to innovation and operational excellence, beginning with frequency planning for AMPS, TDMA, and GSM across Tennessee and Kentucky, and evolving into leadership roles in Engineering Sales Support, Strategic Three-Year Planning, National In-Building Planning and Analysis, and managing AT&T’s New Site Build (NSB) plan.

Throughout his tenure, Chris has contributed to some of the most significant milestones in the wireless industry, including the integration of Cingular and AT&T Wireless, the launches of 3G UMTS, 4G LTE, and 5G, the retirement of legacy technologies, and AT&T’s groundbreaking transition to Open RAN with Ericsson. Today, he serves as Principal Team Support for the AVP of AT&T HQ Wireless Engineering, where he continues to drive strategic initiatives and partnerships shaping the future of wireless connectivity.

Chris is passionate about leveraging technology to create meaningful advancements and values the opportunity to provide strategic insight and leadership for the ISE Expo Advisory Board.
