SVP of Information and Network Technologies and Chief Technology Officer

Ken was named CTO in 2014 and appointed SVP of Information and Network Technologies in 2018. He has been with the company since in 1996. Ken has responsibility for technical direction of the company’s network and IT evolution. He oversees the delivery of software and infrastructure projects across diverse, state-of-the-art network technologies, as well as the company’s mission-critical IT applications and services. He also directs the planning, engineering, and building of TDS’ networks to ensure customers have access to the most reliable internet, phone and TV services.

Outside of work, Ken enjoys running and traveling. In fact, he’s been to all 50 states with his wife and daughters. He is a self-described lifelong learner and recently completed a Masters in Data Science at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In addition, Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Biology from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

TDS Telecom

Ben oversees the planning, engineering, and implementation of TDS’ network build projects. His teams are responsible for executing out-of-territory fiber overbuilds and managing A-CAM projects.
Ben joined TDS Telecom in 1999 as a staff accountant. He was promoted to senior accountant within a year and continued to advance rapidly within the company. Ben was named VP of Network Services in 2019.
From 1991-1999, Ben served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. During his final years of service, he was a Platoon Sergeant of a Weapons Platoon. Ben earned ITIL Version 3 Foundation Certification. He holds an MBA from Edgewood College, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Upper Iowa University, and an associate degree in business middle management from Madison Area Technical College.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Ben has been a youth volunteer coach for more than a decade. He enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating, running, and camping.

VP Network Engineering

Troy Johnson is vice president of network engineering at Consolidated Communications, Inc. (CCI) (NASDAQ: CNSL). Prior to serving in this role, he served as vice president of engineering and network operations at Enventis.

Troy has more than 35 years of telecommunications experience including lead engineering management roles at Enventis and CP Telecom. Other experience includes director of switch translations at McLeod USA, manager of switch translations and traffic analyses at Ovation Communications and engineer at Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs. 

Troy is a graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. He completed the coursework for his master’s degree in computer science from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

Troy and his wife, Barbara, reside in Iron River, Wisconsin, and have three children: Jordan and Tyler, who are grown; and Vincent who resides at home.

Kevin's team is responsible for providing technical support for more than 35 million mobility, wireline, and IP based contacts each year. In addition, his team owns Back Office Support, Consumer Product Experience and Enterprise messaging. In December 2021 Kevin added Operational Collections to his portfolio where his team drives immediate cash flow and balance resolution for more than 23 million contacts each year. Since beginning his career as a sales representative in 2002, Kevin has held various leadership positions throughout AT&T. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Finance Modernization, where he led enterprise transformation initiatives including expense optimization, supply chain synergy, call center and labor strategy. These initiatives cultivate an enterprise-wide strategic framework for customer choices and capability through data and technology. In addition, he owned the end-to-end cash cycle including credit, collections, remittance, accounts payable and payroll. Kevin has extensive experience leading teams in strategy, data and technology, and the related operational implementation. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt who is sought after as a champion for change and process simplification. Kevin serves on the AT&T Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council as well as a board member for Ignite MindShift, a non-profit with a mission to inspire, enable, and accelerate the fulfillment of life goals, specifically targeting underserved youth. He is a mentor and member of the AT&T Women of Finance organization and enjoys being a champion of talent. His mantra: Don’t be a leader; be a Gravitational Leader. People should naturally seek you out, not just for what you do, but also how you do it. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis on Human Resources, Kevin furthered his education with a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance. Residing in Dallas, Kevin and his family are avid animal lovers and enjoy volunteerism.

Joshua Seidemann focuses on federal regulatory issues as well as technology and market trends affecting the rural telecom industry. He develops research initiatives and programming for Smart Rural CommunitySM, an initiative that promotes inter-industry collaboration to deploy broadband-enabled applications to improve agriculture, education, health care and other sectors. Josh is the staff liaison for the NTCA Innovation and Business Opportunity Committee and and serves on industry work groups administered variously by the Federal Communications Commission and National Institute of Standards and Technology.
